Our clients are a leading international bank and due to recent growth within the company they are now looking to recruit a bright graduate to join the Investments team based in Northwich
The role within Investment Operations is extremely varied and provides the opportunity for a challenging position within a growing area of the Bank. The team works within a heavily regulated environment and is responsible for providing a bespoke service to the Banks private banking clients, including the administration of all of investments and client portfolio’s, customer payments, reconciliations and providing strong support to the front office staff
Your day-to-day responsibilities:
The key responsibilities include:
* The onboarding of new clients and portfolios onto the AMD Back Office System.
* The monitoring and posting of cash deposits and withdrawals together with cash reconciliations.
* The processing of transactions, liaising with counterparties to ensure timely settlement.
* The processing of all Corporate Action Events including Dividend and Interest calculations.
* The maintenance and claiming of all Trails commissions due from Unit Trust holdings.
* The transfer of stocks to and from counterparties and AMD.
* The upkeep of customer’s portfolios, including conducting pricing checks to ensure accurate records are maintained at all times.
* Liaising with other departments to ensure effective settlement of all cash and stock transactions.
* Liaison with our Custodians and AMD front office to ensure all administrative functions are processed in accordance with drafted procedures.
Person/Experience required
* Educated to degree level
* Relevant experience within an office environment
* Experienced with all aspects of settlement.
* Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
* Demonstrates and applies a working knowledge of risk management concepts and techniques to identify potential business risk areas.
* Must be accurate and be able to demonstrate attention to detail at all times.
* A good all rounder that is able to demonstrate a “hands-on” approach – especially at busy periods
