This role is for a key position in our expanding rail business. We are looking to add a recently qualified graduate to our Finance and accounts team.

We require a passionate, driven and enthusiastic person to join our experienced accounts and finance team. Someone who has the theoretical knowledge and is keen to learn and gain valuable real life experience in a the Accountancy and Finance World.

BCM is a company undergoing a business transformation. The Board of Directors have put a strategy in place to build on the solid foundations established by the company from over 30 years of trading.

The Graduate will work in the Accounts Team and be responsible for the management of the Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Assisting with the Input & Reconciliation of cost ledgers, cash reporting and support the accounts team of sister companies with the Purchase/Subcontractor Ledger, Sales Ledger and Payroll. They will liaise with various departments to ensure up to date information is utilised when preparing accounts and payments etc. They will assist the other members of the Accounts Team. They will ensure that client relationships are developed and that all key reporting is completed on time.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

• Subcontractor data entry

• Support weekly timesheet costing process

• Support weekly expense function

• Cash reporting and forecasting

• Payroll entry & statutory reporting including PAYE Pensions & Vat Returns

• Preparation of monthly financial KPI's

• Assist in preparation of Management Accounts including purchase ledger, sales ledger and journal input. Assist with month end purchase/subcontractor and sales ledger reconciliation's

Qualifications and experience requirements

• Finance related degree, accountancy or financial management

Person requirements

• Clear and genuine passion for finance

• Excellent communication skills – comfortable working with people at all levels and building stakeholder relationships internally

• Excellent level of English and Maths.
