To be successful in this role you must have an English related degree, a strong understanding of English language and literature and to be confident and well-spoken to the students so they receive clear and understanding instructions. The ideal candidate must be willing to actively chase a career in education.
The Graduate English Teaching Assistant role will be an important process to yours and the student’s future as this will enable them to connect to learning on a more intimate level. You will be in control of leading and supporting either 1:1 or small group interventions for underachieving students. This will benefit them greatly as they may struggle to focus on a large lesson and will benefit from the smaller and closer group. Its key to have a supportive and encouraging personality to help these students achieve their targets.
