Salary starting £28,000

Our client is based on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne and was established in 1985. The Company employs over 460 people who are engaged in the design and manufacture of medium-sized hydraulic excavators.

They have exciting opportunities for motivated, graduate calibre, Engineers to join their IMechE Accredited Graduate Engineer Scheme, where the successful candidates will follow a two-year structured training programme within the Company. To provide good all-round knowledge of the various Engineering activities, the Graduate programme involves placements of approximately five months’ duration in each of the key Engineering Departments including Design, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain Management.

The UK Graduate Engineer Scheme is a permanent position, and on successful completion of the Scheme will lead to an appointment to an Engineer role within the Company.

What they are looking for

They are looking for candidates with an honours degree at a minimum level of a 2:2 in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related Science subject, along with excellent numerical and IT skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
