Graduate Engineer (Trainee Project Manager)
Location: Hillington, Glasgow
Salary: £25,000 PA
Contract: Full time & Permanent

Due to our continued plans for expansion, growth and diversification, we are currently looking to recruit a Graduate for a global opportunity within our Transmission function.
About the Role
We are currently looking to recruit a Graduate to provide assistance and support initially in the Bidding Department as an Estimator and to the Project Managers and Operations team in the future on all matters relating to budget estimation and project management within our Transmission sector. You will be required to undertake a number of tasks to assist with the smooth running of the projects and in return, you will be nurtured and developed to grow into a project management role.
You will be required to undertake some financial elements of the role, such as managing project margins, ensuring profitability of project and overseeing general costings to projects.
The role is full time, permanent and will require an individual who is willing to relocate to Bilbao for a minimum of 2 years, potentially then moving to another country (including potentially back to UK) to manage Projects or Operations.
Key responsibilities are as follows (but not limited to):
* Key challenges of the position are:
* Process Disputes, Claims, Standby & Faults.
* Maintain accurate records of suppliers (local and international)
* Maintain deadlines in line with monthly commercial calendar
* Prepare detailed reports for all tenders
* Client assistance and reporting
* Study the availability of the ground, climate, and all the conditions to make a correct offer in time and budget to the client
* Build and maintain good client and customer relationships
* Contribute towards effective interaction between the Commercial Team and the operational teams
* Assist (technically) the project management department when needed.
* Share best practice with others
* Manage data and provide reports on request
* To be developed through training
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Confidentiality of sensitive material
* Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Availability for travelling
* Ability to work individually or as part of a team
* Network, Materials, Design and Pricing Knowledge
* Client focused and Commercial awareness
* Good Health & Safety knowledge and practices
