Role: Graduate Engineer (Buildings)

Location: Newark

Type: Full-time, permanent

Our Design Team located in Newark is looking for a Civil or Structural Engineering Graduate to join their ranks.

The post will involve working within a civil and structural design team delivering full design services on a range of development projects. Interest and expertise in both civil and structural engineering aspects of Building development projects will be a distinct advantage. Full Post-Graduate training towards Chartered professional status will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

* Minimum degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, preferably at 2:1 grade or above. A Masters rather than Bachelor’s degree would be preferred.

* Experience/interest in the design of commercial and industrial building projects.

* Between 0 and 2 years of post-graduate experience in a design consultancy.

* Aptitude and potential to develop is more important than previous experience.

Essential Skills:

* Good technical grasp of engineering design principles.

* Good structural engineering design skills in steel and concrete.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

* Earthworks and drainage design skills.

* Structural steel and concrete design skills.

* Experience in the use of Teklar design software.
