My client is looking for a Graduate Electronics Design Engineer to join their team in Ashington.

This is a full time permanent role with a salary range of £25,000-£30,000.

Primary Role:

* Design and development of new products and improvements to existing products – with responsibility for electronic design aspects (hardware and software)

* Maintain the project file and produce BOM, build instruction and technical data.

* Provide technical support to production, sales and marketing staff.

* Support the RMA process and establish product improvements.

Responsibilities:

* Actively involved in the development/update of new/existing products – keeping project files up to date whilst following the company’s procedures.

* Produce schematics, PCB and BOMs so that circuits can be manufactured successfully at our subcontractors.

* Participate in the full development cycle including presenting the project at the various check point stages within the company’s procedures to gain approval to proceed to the next stages of development.

* Testing, documenting results and present findings for peer review.

* Work with the industrial designers to produce prototypes.

* Answering technical queries coming in to the Department.

* Research new LED technologies and advise findings.

* Research competitor products and identify technological advances to advance and keep our product number one in the market place.

* Ensure product meets the customer’s specifications and adhere to the relevant legislation such as EMC, Safety and CE etc.

Required

* Accredited Masters or Bachelors Degree in Electronic engineering or a similar engineering degree (e.g. microelectronics engineering, electrical and Electronic Engineering).
