We are seeking a talented Hardware Design Engineer who is able to take projects from inception to production. Working as part of a small, applications-led multi-disciplinary team in the centre of Glasgow with access to Global resources, you will play a key role in developing the next generation of instrumentation for the scientific research community. Recent Graduates will be considered.
Duties will include:
– Helping translate customer requirements into hardware specifications
– Analogue and high speed digital design
– Schematic capture
– Board layout
– Bench testing, debug and development of prototypes
– Liaison with subcontractors
– Manufacturing support
Skills / Experience
The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in general analogue and digital design techniques and ideally will have additional experience of Zynq . A working knowledge of Xilinx FPGA tools and CAD experience would be advantageous.
Other relevant skills include:
* Embedded Microcontrollers & Microprocessors
* C, C++ programming
* USB and other high speed communication interfaces
* Embedded DSP development an advantage
Qualifications
Minimum 2.1 degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
