Graduate Electronic/ Electrical Engineer

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Location: Dudley

Hours: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1pm on Friday

Salary: £23,000-£25,000 p.a. + company benefits

My client is currently seeking a Graduate Electronic/ Electrical Engineer to join their organisation on a permanent basis at their UK headquarters in Dudley. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious graduate, looking to develop their career.

The role

Working with experienced Development & Design Engineers, you will be part of a team which provides innovative, profitable designs and production solutions to meet the needs of a variety of customers. You will assist in the design of new products, as well as the development of current products. You will be given full training throughout and will develop skills in order to:

Design hardware for microprocessor and DSP based embedded systems
Design software for embedded systems using C and assembler
Design software for the PC using assembler, C, Java
Design discrete logic systems, using both standard logic, and programmable types (EPLDs)
Design analogue electronic systems for measurement and control
Design digital communication systems (Ethernet TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus, Interbus, Modbus/TCPIP etc)
Design power electronics systems using Thyristors and IGBTs
Design electrical power systems, control gear and protection
Prepare PCB layouts
Carry out design work on SolidWorks
Prepare drawings and Bills of Materials
Constructing and testing of prototypes
Carry out technical writingExperience/ Skills Required

Electronic/ Electrical Engineering degree is essential
Any previous experience gained within this field would beneficial, but not essential
Experience with CAD software would be preferred You will receive a competitive salary with the position, as well as 25 days holiday (+bank holidays), private medical insurance and a pension.
