ROLE- Graduate Design Engineer (Mechanical / Industrial / Product)

LOCATION- West Berkshire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £23,000- £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

My client designs and manufactures a variety of plastic and electro-mechanical products and they are looking to take on a Graduate Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the West Berkshire area.

The Graduate Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Degree qualified in Industrial Design, Product Design or Mechanical Engineering
Any placement or internship experience working with design / manufacturing would be desirable but not essential
Proficiency with 3D CAD- any programme will be considered (Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.)
Experience of working with electro-mechanical products or systems would also be desirable
Any experience of working during your course with a variety of materials and processes including injection moulding, sheet metal and casting
Able to work well individually as well as within a team
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The Graduate Design Engineer role will involve:

Contributing to the design of new products involving pneumatics and electro-mechanical aspects as part of the design team
Using Autodesk Inventor / Pro Engineer CAD for 3D design work
Being involved in different manufacturing processes and with a range of materials
Taking designs right through from concept to production being involved with prototyping too
Working on the development and improvements of existing products
Working within the existing design team as the company continues to grow
