Graduate Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen of a Graduate Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator to join a successful manufacturer, based at their site in Winsford.
This role would suit a graduate with industry experience, who has a keen interest and passion for developing a career in Continuous Improvement. Training, mentoring and support will be provided along the way.
The CI co-ordinator will be a key role in implementing a transformation of complex manufacturing processes with the objective of improving operational effectiveness and efficiency. Reporting to the Production Manager and as part of the Operations team, working to develop lean manufacturing processes, strongly focussed on our people, quality and cost.
Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator responsibilities:
To support all operations in the implementation of the Continuous Improvement (CI) projects by facilitation, training, and coaching of employee groups and improvement teams.
To embed the CI culture within the factory whilst delivering measurable and sustained cost-out improvements through the utilisation of lean tools and techniques.
Continually improve the existing operation for increased quality, productivity, efficiency and cost savings.
Build internal relationships across all departments
Help develop and support CI projects from initiation through to delivery, involving hands-on interaction, good problem-solving techniques, generating enthusiasm and supporting the teams.
Support and facilitate site projects to improve existing processes and implement new procedures to drive improvements in efficiency, waste reduction, increased quality, lead-time reduction, as well as improvements to on-time-delivery and growth initiatives.
Problem solving and root cause analyses of technical and organisational issues, and consequently adjustment of procedures and processes.
To proactively resolve non-conformity cases by carrying out corrective actions and subsequently driving to root cause and implementing the appropriate preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator Requirements:
Clear understanding of manufacturing business process
Good influencing skills, able to lead, coach, train and mentor;
Implementing the tools and discipline to ensure that changes are robust and sustained and the ability to remove barriers to change
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines
Demonstrate successful experience of working with Lean CI tools and techniques – such as 5S, OEE, Problem Solving, Kaizen, 7 Wastes.
Working knowledge of TPM and demonstrated effective use of the DMAIC process in problem solving
Confident and professional when representing the company in person and in writing.
Must have initiative and self-motivation and ability to deliver effective work and make sound decisions but must also know when to seek guidance and direction.
Excellent IT skills, proficient with Microsoft Office products
