More About the Graduate Commercial Finance Analyst Role:
We’re looking for a commercially minded part qualified accountant to join our growing Commercial Finance Team. You’ll be a driven individual, with a hunger to grow and develop into a key business partner.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Analyst that is looking to join our rapidly expanding recycling business on a permanent basis. We process, recycle and repair a range of white goods with the UK’s biggest and best WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) recycling plant. We also opened our very own plastic recycling facility in 2019, becoming the only retailer to take this step. This role is crucial for building a profitable business through the provision of analytical expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to provide data to the commercial team as well as senior management and develop over time into a key business partner.
This role will offer study support for the right candidate to become a member of the Chartered Institute for Management Accountants (CIMA).
There will also be opportunities to be involved in core finance processes in order to meet the required standards for CIMA.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing as our Graduate Commercial Finance Analyst:
Providing consistent, reliable information and data with full analysis in order to advise the Senior Commercial Finance Manager and other internal stakeholders in making strategic and operational decisions through challenge and insight.
Being responsible for all daily, weekly and monthly reporting of the WEEE Recycling facility based at Halesfield 15.
Working closely with the Senior Commercial Finance Manager to build and develop commercial awareness and provide meaningful insights.
Gaining a real understanding of how the business ticks. Provide insightful explanations of cost and profit drivers along with suggestions and recommendations.
Supporting the rest of the Commercial Finance team in the development and improvement of a suite of reliable commercial reporting including the budget, forecast and prior periods.
Developing and providing relevant and insightful reporting and analysis for a variety of business areas, to drive improved business performance.
Working closely with the IT Projects team to collaboratively produce a suite of automated reports that are accurate and timely.
Providing regular reporting to a range of stakeholders that is completed on time and in full.
Understanding and work with the business operational teams in order to identify process improvements that would lead to increased commercial performance.
Supporting the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in understanding the month end result / process.
A Few Things About Our Ideal Graduate Commercial Finance Analyst:
Applicants to be considered for the position must have some or all of the following:
CIMA / ACCA / ACA Part Qualified
Strong analytical skills.
Proficient computer skills including advanced Excel skills.
Ability to work individually and as part of a larger team.
Driven and determined to succeed.
Willing to own projects from the beginning through to implementation and beyond.
Self-motivated to meet challenging deadlines, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate with varying levels of management
