Our Client are a well-established low carbon, energy and building services consultancy, with a modest network of offices across the UK providing regional support to a long term customer base.
The business intends to make a small number of key appointments this year, with a talented, hardworking and ambitious Graduate Mechanical Consultant (Building Services) top of the list. Working from the Huddersfield office the appointed candidate can look forward to one on one training with industry experts and chartered Engineers, along with external training courses as and when required.
The ideal applicant will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, diligent, conscientious and highly proficient in both Maths and English. Most importantly you will be willing to learn and work hard to progress, asking intelligent questions along the way and taking onboard direct instruction. This will be a trainee role which will see the appointed candidate working alongside Building Services, Energy and Sustainability Consultants to learn the ropes and support live projects as the company continues to grow. You will be learning how to assess buildings against complex and evolving systems and criteria using a variety of software platforms. This will likely involve: –
* Hevacomp for HVAC Design (heating, ventilation and air conditioning)
* Dynamic Energy modelling using Designbuilder software
Applications are invited from recent Building Services, Mechanical, Energy or Sustainability Graduates keen to secure a long term career in a hands on "nuts and bolts" style role within the construction industry. A genuine interest in sustainable engineering, low carbon building design and the global NetZero agenda would be desirable.
Finally, whilst a candidate local to the West Yorkshire area would be ideal, my client has had success with relocating Graduates in the past and is open to looking at this option again
