Graduate Big Data – 32k – Conwy, North Wales – Satellite imaging and Sonar technology

My client is a cutting edge GeoSpace company based in the UK who are looking for the next level of disruptors. They’re looking for Graduate or Junior Level Big Data Engineers to take on the latests challenges the company has to offer

Main Duties:

• Deploy software modules, code, and unit tests.
• Conduct research and make recommendations on software products, services,
protocols, and standards in support of development efforts.
• Work with other technical staff to develop software.
• Identify inefficiencies in current software and investigate solutions.
• Resolve security and performance issues.
• Coordinate software releases.
• Implement and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to
• Applying upgrades to existing tools.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Positively contribute and engage in development planning and review meetings
(SCRUM etc.)

Skills & Experience Required:

Big data technologies like Java/Hadoop and Spark
+ Python
+ Web API development:
+ Web Services
+ Single Sign-On Authentication
+ Oracle of other database awareness:
+ Able to write SQL queries and to optimise performance
+ Knowledge of basic database security practices
+ Reporting and business intelligence tools like Microsoft SQL Server
+ NoSQL database systems such as CouchDB and MongoDB

The salary will be up to 32,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available including a bonus
