An opportunity for a Graduate to join a leading North East based contractor in a pre-construction role.

Privately owned, principle contractor based in Durham.

To work with the pre-construction team to develop and deliver winning bid submissions by writing effective responses to pre-qualification questionnaires.

Specific duties include:
Identify Opportunities and Risks and work with the internal and external teams to review further.
Review tender documentation to ensure compliance with Employers Requirements, and highlight any deficiencies to the client.
Support the team in writing clear concise responses to questions raised within PQQs and Tenders.
Coordinate with Bid Manager, Planning Engineer, Estimating, Business Development, Construction Teams and Bid Coordinators to make use of appropriate techniques and software to deliver bid winning PQQ and Tender submissions.
Speak to external consultants for submission support and fee proposals.
Prepare and produce tender interview presentations.
Attend Site Visits and meeting, before, during and after the tender period.
Attend client and consultants meetings where necessary.
Make full use of specialist design & Planning computer software, such as or AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Asta Powerproject Microsoft Project, etc.
Produce and review Design Programmes and Information Required Schedules etc.
Provide advice and support on the development of specific systems.
Support the Bid Manager in PQQ's and Tenders.
Review client deliverables to ensure our submissions satisfies them.
Attention to detail and ensuring all work produced is to the highest possible standard.
Review all parties` responses to make sure they are relevant and correct, highlight any errors or inconsistencies. Complete a final review of the submission ahead of it being issued to the Bid Manager for final review.
Establishing close working relationships with internal departments such as operations, health and safety, quality, business development to facilitate transfer of knowledge into successful bids.

Experience Required
An ability to write and communicate effectively.
Ideally a degree in English Language and Literature or a construction related degree.
