The Company – Axon Moore are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant role for a well-established and growing company based in Thirsk. Since incorporation, they have gone from strength to strength and have worked hard to establish an excellent experience for all employees and customers. They are now seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the team who is keen to learn in the role and pursue their ACCA or CIMA studies.
About the role – The purpose of this role is to learn in the role while studying. The business will offer excellent training and exposure to a wide spectrum of technical and commercial duties, making it the ideal opportunity on the route to qualification. The role offers a clear progression path for a Trainee Management accountant to become an exam qualified Management Accountant as well as gaining the practical hands-on experience needed to thrive in their Finance career.
Main Duties – You will be the Financial Controllers right hand providing support in the day-to-day finance operations and processes whilst ensuring the efficient delivery of finance information. This will give you the practical experience needed to succeed in your studies as well as giving you the tools needed to progress within the business.
Producing bi-weekly statements
Monthly reconciliations
Updating the fixed asset register
Expenses
Balance sheet reconciliations
Month end reporting and analysis
Support in preparation of the monthly P & L
KPI analysis and reporting on dashboards
Site analysis
Support external audit work
Person specification
A ‘Can-do’ attitude
Ability to perform under pressure
The ambition to become a qualified accountant
Knowledge of finance systems
Excellent keyboard skills to produce accurate and well-presented reports
Any relevant accounting experience will be really beneficial in the role
