Graduate IT Applications Analyst

* £21,000 per annum (+ excellent benefits package)
The Opportunity:
Working for an established international financial institution, we are looking to attract a Graduate Applications Analyst who will be involved in developing and supporting a number of core business applications and systems for their international clients.
Working in an established team, this is an ideal position for candidates looking to gain experience operating in a fast-moving, agile-focussed, professional financial institution.

Skills and Experience:
* Relational database knowledge and experience (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
* Understanding of software development methodologies
* Ability to use the test plans to perform accurate system testing and write concise but good quality documentation of the outcome
* Some exposure to databases in a Linux/UNIX environment
* Some knowledge of one or more of the following would be beneficial: Oracle Application Express (APEX), JavaScript, Unit Testing experience, SAP Business Objects or Crystal Reports
Role and Responsibilities:
* After inductions and training your responsibilities will be as follows:
* Carrying out development, testing and implementation of software enhancements in an Oracle database, using Oracle APEX and SAP Business Object reporting
* Coordinating IT business information/activities including interpretation of technical documentation
* Recommending solutions for technical aspects of projects as well as broad system improvements, planning and manage your project work-streams
* Write and understand database queries using SQL
* Supporting members of staff with their general IT support issues via Service Desk requests
