Graduates enrolled onto the programme will be supported by an experienced senior leadership team that will assist you throughout the year. You will join the school as a Graduate Academic Mentor working in many different classes and with many different teachers.

The school would like to appoint a Graduate Academic Mentor who has studied a core subject degree, or at least has a credible A-levels in their subject. The school need an Academic Mentor who is willing to support secondary pupils who are behind their targeted grades. The ideal graduate Academic Mentor will have a degree in a core subject and an exceptional understanding of mental health issues in adolescents.

You will learn the fundamental elements of teaching practice such as behaviour management and lesson planning. Once you have learnt enough and have enough confidence you will begin to lead lessons yourself, always with extensive support.
