Exciting opportunity for all Geography graduates wishing to pursue a career in secondary Geography teaching. 

Are you a Geography graduate looking to gain invaluable experience within a secondary school before starting a teacher training programme? Would you benefit from paid hands on experience within a secondary classroom next academic year? If so, please see the details below of the Geography Graduate Teacher Internship available across Greater Manchester from September 2020 (available for the full academic year until July 2021). 

– Geography graduates required, full-time support role within a secondary school from September 2020. 

– Guaranteed work until July 2021, with support for applications to teacher training for September 2021. 

– Earn up to £1300 per month, experience dependent. 

– Providing support across KS3 and KS4 Geography, whilst learning to teach in line with the National Curriculum. 

– Opportunities in secondary schools across Bury, Bolton, Salford, Manchester and North Manchester. 

– Applications to be received ASAP, as interviews will be conducted at the earliest opportunity. 

The Graduate Teacher Internship was set up and created by Teaching Personnel and National Leaders in Education in 2018. Geography graduates will gain an insight into planning, delivering and assessing lessons, managing behaviour and delivering targeted intervention sessions to lower and higher achieving pupils. This programme will last for the full academic year 2020/2021 and all successful applicants will be supported onto a future teacher training programme.
