English Graduate Coach
Required for September 2022

Smile Education are working in partnership with a forward thinking and supportive secondary school near Solihull who would like to introduce a Graduate Coach to their English Department in September.
The successful candidate will want to gain meaningful classroom experience prior to embarking on a PGCE / School Direct / SCITT etc. We want our graduates to grow into their TA/LSA roles as the months go on, to learn from the experienced and dedicated teachers they assist and make a positive impact on all the children they support. This gives school leaders the opportunity to identify future talent and effectively ‘grow their own teachers.’ This particular school run their own internal Teacher Training route and many former graduates have successfully trained as teachers within the trust, this opportunity would be available in September 2021.
You will be required to work alongside the class teacher and add value by;
Working directly with lower-attaining pupils via 1:1 and small group structured interventions
Allow pupils to develop independent learning skills / bridge the gap and accelerate progress
Add value outside of the classroom through extra-curricular activities
Assist the class teacher with classroom / lesson preparation
