Be you. Be empowered. Be a Transport for Wales graduate.
First things first: we’re Transport for Wales (TfW), the not-for-profit company proudly transforming Wales’ transport network. We’re here to keep the country moving safely, but what we do is far more than simply getting passengers from A to B. We positively impact countless people, communities and businesses – and now it’s your chance to be part of that.
On our two-year Engineering Graduate Scheme, you’ll rotate through three key areas: asset management, consultancy and engineering. That means there’s plenty of opportunity to get stuck in and help deliver all kinds of operational infrastructure and civil engineering projects. Day to day, you’ll work closely with the teams to keep projects on track and on budget by supporting the management of scope, schedules, finances, risks, quality, resources and contracts. With a blend of hands-on experience, academic studies, workshops and webinars, you’ll build up the technical skills and knowledge to get your career off to a flying start.
Proactive and collaborative: that’s you. You’ll have excellent communication skills and feel at home liaising with our partners, teams and fellow graduates. You won’t be fazed by competing priorities, and you’ll actively seek out new ways to learn and grow. Plus, you’ll bring a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area such as Civil Engineering, along with some experience of successfully delivering a team project.
It might all sound like a lot, but you’ll get a lot back too. For starters, there’s the great benefits, including 28 days’ annual leave, discounted gym membership and retail discounts. Then there’s the fact that, here, you’ll make your mark at a company that fully supports and encourages you. After all, this is a place where you’ll be empowered to do amazing things for the people of Wales – and for yourself.
