Here's what you'll be doing:
Our 2 years DTS Software Engineering Graduate Programme offers a unique opportunity to accelerate your career and support your development into a truly well-rounded DTS professional. You will start your Graduate journey with an 8 month placement through 3 rotations across Centrica's well-known brands.
We will give you the opportunity to gain experience in live projects within high-profile roles across DTS; these will be filled with interesting and high-profile assignments. including Software Development, Data Engineering, Data Science, Cloud Platform Engineering, Digital Product Engineering, Network Engineering, and Information/Cyber Security.
You will meet and work with a variety of key business stakeholders and develop a number of skills while on programme, such opportunities may include:
Web & mobile app development to build digital products for our customers
Core application development to build functionality into our customer and billing systems
Cloud platform/network engineering to build flexible and scalable solution environments
Data engineering to transform data at scale to support operations and analytics purposes
Data science including the use of machine learning to provide intelligence capabilities
Information/cyber security technology to ensure our environments are safe and secure
Throughout the programme, you will be provided with an unparalleled level of support with access to buddies, mentors, and experienced line managers, as well as having a ready-made network of graduates across the business to tap into. We want you to experience as much as possible and be able to soak up and learn about the wonderful world of software engineering and life at Centrica.
We have a few must-haves:
Expecting a minimum 2:1 degree in a STEM subject (2:2 if combined with a Master's)
Passionate about collaboration
Customer focussed with a continuous improvement mindset
Great initiative and problem-solving skills
An understanding of Agile practices and methods – and how they can deliver value for our customers
Willingness to relocate within the UK to make the most of the opportunities we offer
In the office a minimum of 2 days a week
Have the right to work in the UK
Available to start your graduate programme on 1st October 2024
