Commercial Finance Analyst (Graduate)

Purpose of the Role:

* Capital expenditure tracking, analysis & reporting to LNUK Senior Leadership Team

* Business partnering role for Tax Exam Training business

* Providing reports to Finance and Business stakeholders enabling informed commercial decision

* Delivery of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets

* Variance analysis on exam training revenue and costs – identifying trends and investigating discrepancies

* Analysis on monthly FTE numbers

* Working with the Sales Commissions lead on resolving ad-hoc sales requests

* Liaise with Group Finance in the US to ensure local issues are understood at a global level

* Manage ad hoc business requests by providing sound financial business analysis when required

Key skills and experience

* Educated to degree standard, achieving a 2:1 or above in a Finance/Business-related degree

* Solid ability to confidently articulate financial performance and challenge the status quo

* Must be comfortable working with ambiguity in a cross-functional, fast-moving and rapidly changing environment

* Must have strong analytical skills and be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel

* Desirable to have working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System (Hyperion Planning and Reporting), Essbase & SQL

* Ability to communicate financial data in a clear & concise manner to non-finance employees

* Ability to summarise & present financial data to Senior Management

* Committed to obtaining accountancy qualification
