M&S Graduate Scheme & Jobs

M&S Graduate Scheme

M&S Graduate Scheme

There are many Graduate scheme roles at M&S. There are a lot of opportunities to join the M&S Graduate Scheme. There are also Marks & Spencer jobs all year round, which are suitable for graduates.

Here is a little introduction to the company ethos for graduates at M&S.

From our humble beginnings as a single market stall, we’ve grown to become one of the UK’s leading retailers of clothing, food, home products and financial services. We now employ 78,000 employees in the UK and abroad, have more than 700 UK stores and serve over 21 million customers each and every week.

Our commitment to provide superior quality products at attractive prices has built us an £8 billion turnover, but more importantly has given us the enviable reputation as the retail store against which all others are measured.

Graduate Opportunities at M&S.

Whichever way you look at it, the Marks & Spencer Graduate scheme is one of the best in the industry. From your point of view, you get a first-class introduction to a career in retail. And from our side of things, we get talented people with fresh ideas and ways of thinking. It’s the perfect deal.

But a career with M&S isn’t for everyone, and we set the bar especially high for our graduates. It’s not enough to say you have a ‘passion for retail’. We’ll want to see that passion in everything you do – whether you’re taking part in group training days, researching new products, or meeting with our suppliers.

We think the best way to learn is by doing. So as an M&S graduate, you’ll be given real responsibility from day one. You’ll be working on real projects. And you’ll be coming up with new ways of doing things that will make a real difference to our business.

Most graduates apply for a place on our Retail Management scheme, where you’ll work towards becoming a Commercial Manager in one of our stores. You don’t need a particular degree, but you do need to be good with people, and have a sound commercial understanding.

And if you have a relevant degree, you could apply for a Head Office role – like IT, design, buying, merchandising, product or
food technology.
